Destinys Oak (Acres Destinys x Sweet Susie Oak) |
We have had Destinys Oak since he was 18 months of age. He was started under saddle and then bought back to Allandale where he just learnt to be a horse. As a 2 year old he was sent to Phil Dawson for 3 months. We were not really interested in cutting, so we then sent Destinys Oak to Mick Connelly, who was to prepare him for the Cloncurry Challenge. Whilst in work he sustained a muscle injury that required a 12 week recovery period. So with 3 weeks work leading into Cloncurry, Destinys Oak just missed out on a finals appearance but managed to stay in the top 20 horses and considering his preperation, we were pleased with the result. Not long after, EI broke out and it was ideal timing to allow the horse a full year of rest to allow the injury full opportunity to heal. Due to business commitments Destinys Oak has not had a lot of campdrafting opportunity but he has won 2 Novice drafts and has made a number of Open finals for several placings with scores up to 92. At home he is very laid back and food is his No. 1 priority. He has a fantastic nature and it is not unusual for him to run in the front paddock with another of our horses, Banjo Bratt, over the Winter months. He is extremely kind, so much so, that Lauchlan spent a lot of time riding him in the arena at Allandale when he was first starting to learn how to ride. Currently competing in Novice and Open events. Read More

Geld, Banjo Bratt (Oaks Romeo x Mentirosa/ASB mare) |
We bought Banjo as a very green 3 yr old. Banjo was bought on very carefully for our middle son, William, who started riding him at the bush gymkhana's when still a junior competitor. Banjo is the only gelding on the truck and he is a brilliant ride, when it's his day! We have been so impressed with Banjo that we secured the service of his sire, Oaks Romeo, for a a number of breeding seasons to try and capture some of that brilliance out of our mares that have similar Mentirosa x ASB blood. Banjo Bratt recently won an Open after a number of placings in Novice and Opens. He will be used as an Encouragement horse for Donnagh as she starts to compete again after 12 months out of the saddle due to a riding accident off a young horse.
We are really excited about our young geldings by Oaks Romeo and in particular our filly, Sweet Georgia. Read More

Tierentte (Willow Oak x Brunette Spirit) |
Tiery was purchased as a foal while still on her mother from a cattle station in Central Australia. She is a pretty mare with a tremendous amount of talent and once again has the Mentirosa x ASB breeding on the female side. She is only 14.3hh but she has a huge heart and plenty of cow. Andrew started her under saddle as a 2yr old and she has been bought along in stages and is really starting to draft well. Her personality is delicate and even though she can have a 'tizzy' fit every now and again, she is maturing into a lovely mare. She has been extremely consistent the last 6 months with final appearances and placings in all her drafts to date with Andrew riding her. She is still a maiden mare but has the ability to compete in Open company. Lauchlan has been riding her of late at home and she has worked nicely for him each time. He hopes to use her as a second horse in the Junior events. Read More |

Miss Luke (Star Pavarotti x Valentine Stud Impulse) |
This mare has the ability to be super brilliant. Purchased as a roughly broken 3yr old and on arriving in SA, we decided to restart her from scratch and with careful riding she is coming along nicely. She is Andrew's mare and he is managing her personality well and in the last couple of drafts she has showed plenty of promise. Nita McLennan bred this mare and in doing so she perfected a beautiful big striding mare who rates a beast brilliantly outside with showring appeal. We have decided to place her in foal to OAKS ROMEO for a 2012 foal with the idea of bringing her back under saddle at a later date as an older mare. She is a very kind mare in the paddock and on the ground but is a mare that prefers to be on her own out in the paddock hiding up in the tree line. She jumps in and out of the paddock as she likes and this is is not surprising considering she is a grand-daughter of the great campdrafting and showjumping sire, VALENTINE STUD MASTERLUKE. Progeny from Miss Lukes' female line are jumping with great success domestically and internationally. Tim Fahey has several females from this line that are producing quality jumping prospects. Her last 2 drafts have been very promising. Enquiry on this mare has been strong with several offers of purchase in the past year. Read More |

Stylish Meg (Booerie Creek Tiapan x My Stylish Air) |
Meg is another mare that we purchased from QLD in February 2008. She had been started under saddle but was very green, although she showed plenty of natural ability which was evident from her first day under saddle. She is a busy mare with loads of personality and loves attention. She likes to be boss out in the paddock and makes her presence felt. Meg is Lauchlan's horse and with this in mind she has not been over drafted as we would like Lauchlan to grow with her. She is the mare that we place people on if they go for a ride and have had no riding experience. She will step up or down to the riders level. At the moment she has placed or finaled at every draft she has been to since January. She has recently turned Novice. Read More |

Cash (Willow Oak x Music Melody) |
Like Tierry, Cash was purchased as a 12 week old foal still on his mother. Cash sustained an infection not long after being gelded and as a result has probably not grown out as well as he could have but that has not impacted on his ability. From the time Andrew started him under saddle he was always confident that this 14.2 dynomo would be extremely competitive in the campdrafting arena. As a 4 year old he was sold but has been back with us for the past 8 months. It didn't take long for Cash to remember his lessons and from a handful of drafts he has won his Maiden, 2nd in a Novice and placed in Juvenile events. He has now returned back to his owner but we are really excited about his sisters coming on under saddle with Music Minx being the first. Read More

Blaze Away (Booerie Creek Winchester x Wiljohn Serene) |
In waiting we have Blaze Away, a big chestnut gelding bought down from QLD. We bought him down in August, 2010 with the idea of selling him on at some point. Since then Andrew has given him a few rides and decided to turn him out over the Summer to acclimitise to his new southern environment. Andrew really liked him and will work on him over the Winter months with the idea to draft him in the Spring. He is currently at Allandale for a stint in the stock camp with Andrew.
For a big horse, he is extremely light under saddle with a gentle nature. He is available for sale $6000 ono

06, Geld, Dickory Doc (Destinys Oak x Brunette Spirit) |
Dick will be the first youngster by Destinys Oak to earn a bay on the truck. Like Blaze Away, he will be heading to Alladale with the view that he will start coming along to a few drafts at the end of the year. He is a 3/4 brother to Tierenette and just like her is showing plenty of promise and cow. Unlike her, he is a plain looking horse but like his sire, very personable. We are looking forward to Dick and think that he will be very competitive like his sister. Read More
