COMMENT:

A Landmark Classic prospect -  lovely looking gelding that is the last foal out of BRUNETTE SPIRIT.

IMPERIAL OAK is recommended for the serious ASH competitor who is looking for a multi purpose prospect. Was entered Adelaide Royal but due to injury (human) he missed out on his class. Will not take much to get him ready for the show ring. His sister, NEALES RIVER TEIRENETTE, was broken and ran a 2nd in her first draft at William Creek in mid September the same year to stablemate, NEALES RIVER BANJO BRATT. Last year, and from limited work due to foaling, TEIRENETTE finaled in a maiden draft from only 2 outings and peformed well  to place equal 4th in the Maiden at Bacchus Marsh. This dynamic little mare shows her consistency with final appearances (Maiden) at Strathalbyn, Hawkesdale and both Maidens at Macarthur to finish 3rd and 6th. She has only been to 2 drafts in the past 8 months and she picked up a 6th in a Maiden and a 3rd in a Novice. A full brother to IMPERIAL OAK has been started under saddle in the last 6 months and he has shown to be intelligent with a quick mind and plenty of desire on a cow - true to his female line.

BRUNETTE SPIRIT is by the well known Territory sire, BRUNETTE MARK who sired top quality campdrafters and station horses for the Fogarty family of Lucy Creek Station. BRUNETTE MARK is a son of one of Australia's early Quarter Horse imports, MENTIROSA* (by Rey Del Rancho). MENTIROSA*  was imported by King Ranch (Aust.) in 1967, but some years later, with the cutting success of his half brother, REY JAY, under Buster Welch  the parent company in Texas took MENTIROSA*  back to the USA.  REY JAY also features in the breeding of FRECKLES FANCY, dam of DOCS FRECKLES OAK. The story of REY JAY shows just why he was one of the most influential sire's of his time which saw him earn a place in cutting horse history.  Read More

BRUNETTE SPIRIT drafted well in the Eastern states with Ted Fogarty and was retired due to a shoulder injury.

The dam of BRUNETTE SPIRIT, IMPERIAL SPIRIT ASB. 99837,  carries top performance bloodlines which includes ASB sires, AGRICOLA (Jumping) & KALIMAH (Marena Show Horses.)
